Shannon is the proud owner of Molecule Salon, where we strive to create a culture built on value, respect, and integrity. With over 20 years in the industry, she prides herself on being a “lifer”.

Shannon specializes in blonding, creative color, color corrections, haircutting, and staying ahead of trends. A passionate educator, she has a long history of teaching and mentoring in the industry. Currently focusing on offering independent education and mentorship, as well as, sharing her knowledge as a creative educator with Australian brand Evo. Education and mentorship fuel her passion for this industry, as she leads with a deep dedication to bringing practical, compassionate, and non pretentious forms to the industry.

Molecule salon was opened in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago in 2019, followed by our second space in 2021. Both spaces are designed to give stylists a safe, inspiring environment to grow their careers while feeling valued, seen, and supported.

Outside of the salon, Shannon is a mom, a cat pillow (if you know, you know), and a lover of all things intriguing - from documentaries, to horror movies, collecting vinyl, to mysteries…the biggest one being why she can’t keep a plant alive. She also has a love for coffee, reading, exploring nature, traveling, music, animals, and most importantly, laughing.
